Sled kite
let's build a kite
Sled kite is a simple construction, which children aged 5-6 years will be able to build with little help from parents or leaders. Older children can build sled kite by themselves by following the instructions.
During the construction of the kite the participants will:
- install bamboo sticks in tunnels and fix them with glue
- cut the tails and attach them to the kite, cut the line to the bridle, tie it to the kite; if necessary, they learn how to tie the loop beforehand
- find the middle of the bridle line and tie a loop on it
- Then the participants learn a simple clamping knot and use it to tie the kite rope to the bridle.
The kite is ready to fly!
Duration: 30 minutes
Materials: ripstop nylon/icarex sail, bamboo sticks, glue, bridle line, tail ribbon, kite line on winder.
Prices of workshops are set individually. They depend primarily on the number of participants.
The maximum number of participants per workshop is 20.
Sled workshop works great during picnics and outdoor events. We can run several workshops, one after another.
We can enrich the workshop with an exhibition and presentation of advanced kites, a kite chat before the start of the workshop.
Once the workshop is completed, the kites are ready to fly, so it's worth thinking about a place for the kids to run and fly.
We are open to your ideas and suggestions.
